The biggest surprise of the day, Connor Scutt, reached his first ever Pro Tour semi-finals after 6-2 win against another sensational quarter-finalist, Christian Perez from Phillipines. However, Scutt did not caused Smith any problems and Michael reached his first final on Players Championship circuit in this season.
Gary Anderson was another finalist, as he defeated Damon Heta also 7-3 in the semi-finals with fantastic average 101,38. Flying Scotsman defeated Kuivenhoven, Nentjes, Scott Williams, Raymond van Barneveld and Chris Dobey on his way to the final.
