Max "Maximiser" Hopp, a former PDC European Championship semifinalist, made it to the top eight on the opening day of PDC Q School, securing his place in the Final Stage. Hopp’s victories included a win over experienced Canadian David Cameron. Fellow German Leon Weber also advanced. Meanwhile, Kai Gotthardt, a recent PDC World Championship contender, was knocked out in the Last 32. Dutchman Gilbert van der Meijden recorded the highest average of the day, advancing with a 5-3 victory and an impressive 101+ average. Spanish player Jorge Garcia del Pozo celebrated a major milestone by qualifying as well. On the flip side, Noa-Lynn van Leuven, Spain’s Jose Justicia, local talent Liam Maendl-Lawrence, and former Tour Card holder Ron Meulenkamp failed to score any points.
