Michael van Gerwen has withdrawn from the PDC World Cup of Darts and will be replaced by Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Dutch Nr. 1 had dental operation on Monday and has not recovered sufficiently to be able to compete in the only team competition in PDC.
Dirk van Duijvenbode is the next highest ranked Dutch player in the PDC Order of Merit (11.) and will replace Mighty Mike. Dirk will pair with Danny Noppert for the second year in a row.
Netherland was the second seed for the second round but with this change Wales' Gerwyn Price and Jonny Claton moved up to second seed.
