Jelle Klaasen won the second event of the Final Stage on PDC Q School. The Cobra is coming back on Pro Tour after two years without the card.
Dutch darts player had very tough opponent in the first round of the day. He defeated Jeffrey de Graaf who played the third round of PDC World Championship. Even Chris Landman who played the final match on Thursday lost his first match against Marcel Junk.
However there are many well known players who still do not have any point in the ranking of Final Stage. For example current WDF World Champion Andy Baetens, Ben Robb or former Tour Card Holders Brian Raman, Max Hopp, Jimmy Hendriks or José Justicia.
Klaasen survived match darts from Alexander Masek in the second round. Masek was leading 5-4 but The Cobra managed to came back to win 6-5. BDO Champion from 2006 later defeated Nicolas Thuillier, Michele Turetta and his fellow countryman Gilbert van der Meijden.
Once again he was losing 4-5 in the semi-finals against US darts player Jules van Dongen who had his Tour card between 2022 and 2023. Even the final match against Danish Benjamin Drue Reus had the similar course and Klaasen win the last two legs to gain Tour Card again after two years.
